The Litchfield Sky View Drive-In Theater, located on Historic Old Route 66, is in its 73rd consecutive season of bringing you big-screen entertainment. Opening in the spring of 1950, the Litchfield Skyview is the only original drive-in nationwide, still located on the Historic Mother Road.
The Litchfield Skyview hosts a Wayside Exhibit at the front of the property.
This exhibit, placed by the Scenic Byway, tells stories of patrons and the history of the property. The original owners, Frisina Enterprises, sold to Mid America Theaters, and then to the family of Norman and Del Paul. Del Paul operated the theater for 30 years.
On March 1st of 2016, the Litchfield Skyview was purchased by Pastro Properties Inc, comprised of Mike, Debbie, Nick, and Mindy Pastrovich. The family took a hands-on approach with the outdoor theater and worked diligently to bring movie fans and the 66 community together during and after Covid. From free community movies and coloring contests, to scavenger hunts and carnivals, with the occasional wedding reception, corporate, or GUINESS RECORD winning event, they loved maintaining the historic venue. And, if you look closely, they may be here when you visit next!
In April of 2023 the Skyview was purchased by Gene and Stephanie Hebenstreit, owners of Victory Lane Ford, and Victory Lane Outdoors. Their son, Alec Hebenstreit, and daughter, Chelsey Semplowski, will be managing the historic venue. The family will be working together to take the Skyview to the next level! Look for more info as the season gets started!

Stay tuned this winter so you don't miss out on any of the excitement!
Our guests help us by doing two simple things, when they are here.
1) Visit our snack bar. We have everything from coffee cups and shirts to corndogs, pizzas, burgers, fries, and all the popcorn you can eat!
2) We supply trash bags to every car. Please pick up your area before you leave! Being responsible for your area is a huge deal! We appreciate it so very much!
Yes! At both our box office and our Snack Bar.
Please do! They are not allowed in the buildings and need to be leashed in all public areas. You are responsible for any "presents" they leave behind!
We understand. Do not leave them unattended. Once the show has started the area under the screen, known as playland, is off limits. If you choose to send your teenage family members to the patio seating, remind them to not disrupt other guests.
Please note, we prosecute vandalism.
Our broadcast is local, not via satellite. This means car radios or battery operated radios will work, but the apps on your phone will not. We sell and rent Radios at the concession stand. The Radio is $30 or you can rent for $30, and get $25 back at the end of the moive. Tune to 103.1 to hear our sound!
Our rules are very simple. If you choose to not follow them or are unkind to our volunteers or staff members, you can be asked to leave.
1) You MUST be able to turn off your vehicle lights. Please check your manual, call your dealership, or visit you manufactures website for instructions!
2) Our FRONT ROW is reserved for low profile vehicles. We do occasionally allow visually impaired/handicap clients to park in the front row as well. All parking is first come first served. Once you have found your spot, park so TWO vehicles can fit between each set of poles. Your neighbors may run their vehicle. You may be asked to turn off your vehicle if it is excessively noisy or fuming into others space.
If you choose to run your vehicle, and your battery dies, come see us! Please come to the lighted employee entrance. A light stays on over the door even when we have closed the snack bar, and we have a jumper packs on hand just so we can help!
If for some reason you are unhappy with your space or neighbors once you have settled in, you do have the option of moving, or we provide additional seating with speakers at our Snack Bar Patio.
Yes! Admission is $7 per person at all times. Feel free to join us for the full evening. Most folks do! If our gates are open come on out. The price will be the same if you stay for half of one movie or all of of the evenings features.
If our gates are open for a show, our snack bar will be too!
Your ticket price gets great movies, and our food pricing keeps the fun alive!
We close our gates and our snack bar 10 minutes into the last feature.
Occasionally there is a line at that point and we will close as the line dies down.
No.
We always play rain or shine. If we have equipment failure and can not finish a show, we'll give out tickets for your next visit. This has only happened once.
Our Overnight Parking Pass is a $10 per person add-on option.
You will be charged at the gate for your ticket and for your overnight parking.
You will receive a card to post in your windshield marking you as paid.
You are welcome to stay for a few extra hours or until 11 am the next morning.
Traveling in an RV and need a larger parking spot? Have other questions?
Want to be sure we are offing this when you visit?

Thank you for joining us as we worked last season to beat the Guinness Book of World Record - for the most Dogs at one show! Thank you for your support and for loving all those fur-babies!
120 was the number to beat. We had 199 dogs in the playland area that counted towards our final official count! By our estimation, there were between 350-400 total dogs in our lot! THANK YOU SO MUCH to Mobil 1 and all of you!
Animal Medical Center - Thank you for making sure our puppies were safe!
Pop's said to tell you all, "Thanks for having a dog gone good time!"
